Let it snow let it snow let it snow!!!!

During to the terrible weather this week Churchfields has been unfortunately closed, good for some but not for others.On Wednesday the school was re-opened and everyone was allowed on the amazing field and everyone had a great time.

This week in school we have been working our socks off with test after test after test it has been hard we have struggled but we have all got through it.

DANCE FEVER

This Friday 2 groups from the class and 1 other group from 5L danced to these boots are made for walking .The stars of the show were Aaron,Lizzie,Charlotte,Ella,Louisa,Eleanor,Jemma,Leontine,Yolande and Chloe.

Our trip to Greenwich planetarium

We went to the planetarium in Greenwich . We looked up at the planetarium and saw all the stars .Then we explored the gallaries and learned new facts .When everyone got hungry we went to eat lunch and then we went to an interesting talk and went home these are some pictures.

This Week

This week has been a busy week for 5G.We have done a variety of different things.
In English we've been practising interviewing and writing reports on the interviews.We have interviewed Varjak Paw a fictional character from a book we read in class by S.F Said.We also interviewed the new president of the United States of America , Barack Obama .(Of course we didn't really interview these people Mrs Garton just pretended to be them.)
In Science we have been looking at the universe and the different planets in the solar system e.g. Mars , Saturn, Venus e.t.c.
Also Robyn from our class took part in the swimming gala on Tuesday and Thursday.She did really well and won a 1st place medal for doing a freestyle 50m race against older people .
Well done to Olivia Collins for coming third in ,how many sweets in the jar ?The money went to a great cause to cancer research.
In P.E we had a supply teacher and played games all lesson it was fantastic,but any strict teacher would find it atrocious.

Varjak Paw /RE/Assembally/music

This week in 5g we have been reading the story of Varjak Paw by SF SAID. We have written a diary of Varjak Paws life pretending that we were Varjak.we have been writing about what varjaks family think of Varjak.
Assembly
We also did an Assembly on remembrance day talking about soldiers that have died or wounded in wars. most of us had parts . We had a one minuet silence

Music
On Friday 5g played a piece of music in assembly which involved all of the beats in music.
RE
In RE we did quiet places and loud places and we decided were it was good to be quiet and were it was good to be loud we made a list of why it was good to be loud and why it was good quiet.
